Communication, Collaboration & Creation

The architect values input coming from different sources—not only the client but specialists, craftsman and builders, along with building officials and product suppliers and vendors. He gains insight by asking appropriate questions and gauges the viability of such information necessary for application. He looks to engage clients in how they live and work, what their needs and goals are, and seeks to build upon the trust that they’ve placed in him. Every project—whether an addition, remodel, renovation, preservation, historic restoration, rehabilitation, or new construction—needs to account for an overwhelming amount of data, conditions and considerations to support the best outcomes. He is diligent in collecting information from diverse sources, as well as investigating and documenting existing conditions. Utilizing the power of 3D rendering software is the primary way of how we design and detail, nowadays, in order to develop appropriate designs into whole solutions. Historically, architecture had been the creation of one individual. Although, nowadays, buildings have become so complex that we rely on a team of professional consultants, specialized technicians, thoughtful zoning and building officers, and—of course—knowledgeable builders and craftsmen, as well as the client. It’s a team effort to see what’s drawn on paper to become a physical reality.
